SINISTHRA: Debut Album Details Revealed

SINISTHRA (formerly NEVERGREEN),the Finnish band featuring current AMORPHIS frontman Tomi Joutsen, will release their full-length debut, "Last of the Stories of Long Past Glories", on May 13 via Arise Records. The CD was recorded last summer at Sonic Pump studios and features a sound best described as "metal with all the most common metal clichés removed," according to the group's official web site. A "teaser" MP3 containing audio samples from the forthcoming CD can be downloaded at this location.

Joutsen joined AMORPHIS late last year as the replacement for longtime AMORPHIS singer Pasi Koskinen, who left the band in August. Pasi's last live appearance with the band took place at the Kontu Rock festival last August 21.
